We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager

Overview of Responsibilities

  • Establish, acquire and develop new accounts, grow the existing business and achieve sales goals
  • Acquire new accounts through cold calling, networking, building relationships with prospects within a specific target of customers looking for 3PL Warehousing and Transport services.
  • Create and execute strategic, effective and actionable plans that define a clear growth strategy for current customers and new business
  • Involved with designing rate structures, provide estimates or quote prices on our services
  • Responsible for servicing accounts, information management, monthly reporting, order administration, training, attendance at conferences and other required meetings
  • Responsible for revenue attainment, customer satisfaction and meeting strategic targets
  • Consult with new customers after sales or signed contracts to resolve problems and/or ongoing support and customer service
  • Knowledgeable about all services and benefits The Remco Group of Companies can provide and educating customers. Provide clients with presentations (i.e. PowerPoint) on the benefits and uses of our services
  • Understanding the Operations side of the business to ensure there is a good match with the customers needs and the services we provide
  • Maintain administrative processes on a weekly basis, include but not limited to: Contact Sheets, Activity Summary Reports and Sales Detail Reports, Expense Reporting, Sales Tracking/ verification and customer information upon request.
  • Develop awareness of our competition
  • Communicate to Distribution/Branch/Operations management on an regular basis
  • Periodically assist in training and working with account supervisor/manager managing current customer.

Requirements or Qualifications

  • 5 years + of strong, successful track record in outside sales
  • Retail, Dry Good experience in 3PL and Transport is preferred
  • Highly motivated sales professional with proven experience and comfort with selling.
  • Strong sense of professionalism with dealing with all internal and external customers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas.
  • Demonstrate the ability to meet or exceed goals
  • Ability to think creatively, cohesively, independently
  • Should have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and attitude
  • Excellent presentation and organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Successful completion of post-secondary education.
  • Ability to work from a home office; including fax machine and computer
  • Regular travel required via personal vehicle
